Short resume

Currently I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems (NICO).
I earned a PhD in Interdisciplinary Physics from the Heidelberg University, Germany in 2013. I have a MSc in Computational Physics and a BSc in Physics (both from Babeș-Bolyai University, Romania), in addition to a BA in Photography, Film, and Media (Sapientia Hungarian University, Romania).

I am excited about everything that stimulates curiosity and intellect. My training in physics drives me to search for rational explanations and quantitative descriptions of phenomena. A background in film and media studies leads me to experiment with challenging ways of grasping knowledge visually and narratively. Fascinated about each possibility of a scientific or cultural endeavor, I'm always looking forward to meet inspiring, diverse and creative people in the cafés, art cinemas, on the basketball fields or at the swimming pools in the Chicago area.
